Article: VI - Election
1.
Elections shall be held at the beginning of each university year.
2.
Members for different committee shall be nominated by Faculty members and then
election shall be held.
3. Voting shall be done by secret
ballot. Absentee voting shall be done by written proxy.
4. Only paid-up members shall be allowed to vote.
5.
Membership privileges may be revised by a two-thirds majority vote of The ENERGIEA
Council.
6. A candidate shall secure an
office by a majority vote of the members. If a majority is not obtained by one
candidate in the initial vote, every candidate who received the largest number
of votes and every candidate who received the second largest number of votes
shall restate their positions, and there shall be a run-off. If the run-off
similarly does not yield a clear winner, then the decision on how to proceed with
elections shall be made by the Board minus candidates running for the position
in question, with input from the society.
